Gerard Spinks is the CEO of Spinks Technologies and has run the business since it’s inception in 1995 with his first client Marin General Hospital. Gerard has been involved in technology integration and insertion into large corporations since 1990. He is a devout family man and father and cherishes his family first more than anything else.
Spinks Technologies, Inc. (STI) was founded in 1995 by Gerard Spinks dba Spinks Engineering. The company was incorporated in 1998 as Spinks Engineering, Inc. and recently changed its name and Corporate Structure to a C Corporation to reflect a more expansive business offering. The company specializes in software development, e-Business Integration, Application Maintenance & Support, and Telecommunications Products and Services as a service provider to Corporate and Federal Clients.
Spinks Technologies, although founded in 1995, has been providing software development and integration services to Corporate Clients since 1989. The company developed it’s first data translator and converter in 1989 for The Medical Manager Product which was purchased in 2000 by webMd, Inc. The data conversion product would convert Physician Practice Management data from various foreign systems into The Medical Manager’s Data Format seamlessly for Doctor’s which saved their office staff from having to re-key this information. This resulted in savings of thousands and sometimes millions of dollars in infrastructure support when these Providers grew their practices and purchased other practices.
Gerard Spinks, CEO, went on to write data translators for Shared Medical Systems which is now Siemens, Premenos Corporation (now Inovis), Antrim Corporation, and Netfish Technologies (now Iona Technologies).
In 2000, Spinks Technologies was contracted by Netfish Technologies to develop high throughput data transformers and a communications gateway architecture that securely routed EDI and XML data via the Internet to Corporation’s Trading Partner Community.
Recently, the company has grown and expanded to offer it’s services to the Federal and State Markets and have secured two sub-contracts on GSA’s Millennia Lite Project. Additionally, the company is bidding on several large-scale IT Projects within the Federal Space and believe strongly in software engineering, COTS Applications Integration, E-Business Integration, and Information Technology Services.
